Guest guest
Hello Everyone: Since I recently cured my Glossitis (infection/inflammation on the tongue) myself using a few simple home remedies, I thought of sharing my experience with you. Glossitis is particularly painful and it does not let you chew anything. It also makes it painful to drink water or sometimes talk. Anyway, here is what I did to take care of it: - I took 1/2 tsp turmeric powder mixed with 1 cup of hot milk (you can add sugar if you like) twice a day. - I cleaned my mouth with Ramdev Baba's tooth powder almost 4 times a day to keep the mouth germ free. I have stopped using a toothbrush and I highly recommend that to others. There are other alternatives like Dentoons, Oil-pulling (www.oilpulling.com), etc. - I took Echinacea tincture, 20 drops, 3 times during the day. I received most of the benefit from 1) the turmeric milk and 2) keeping the mouth very clean. It took 3-4 days for the infection to go away. Guest guest
Hello friends, You can keep most infections of the mouth and the tongue by keeping the mouth clean and disinfected. A few tips from my personal experience: 1. Take more fruits and vegetables preferably uncooked without any toppings.. 2. Eat salads first so that you may take processed food, even cooked at home, a little less to that extent. It is the cooked food that contains all the five white poisons (salt, sugar, fat, refined flours and milk solids or eggs (meaning non-veg. items) Finish every meal with eating a few pices of cucumber or carrot as they cleans the mouth acting like abrush. Chew each piece properly and many times and let the juices go to all corners of the mouth. 3. Baba Ramdevji's tooth powder (Divya Dant Manjan) is very effective priveded you apply the Manjan properly rubbing it properly and spitting out the liquid after reaches all corners and and the gums. Then do not gargle with water but leave that slight film or taste that remains in the mouth and the gums for a few minutes or even take a nap for a few minutes and then gargle. 4. Do not drink water immediately after meals. You can gargel before applying tooth powder just remove the food particles. You may even drink that water while gargling, may be half a cup or so by gargling five to eight times to remove all particles and then use tooth powder. 5. Drinking water after about 45 minutes to one hour after the meal is advisable. This will keep your mouth very fresh without infection all times unless you eat too acidic or mouth irritating food, just to tickle the tongue like fast foods, pickles or heavily oiled and with too much masalas. Of course when infection does occur and is not going by these measures for quite some times, consulting your family vaidya or specialist is advisable. Guest guest
Just to compliment what has been suggested here, if you cook your food in the most traditional Indian way, you can avoid most of the evils of a typical diet: -- eat whole wheat chapatis only (no bread or naan) -- lightly spiced curried vegetables (rather than fried veggies) -- use jaggery instead of sugar -- use sandhav salt instead of table salt -- no non-veg items -- take milk from an Indian cow (yogurt/buttermilk is better than milk when taken with food) I know that not many can afford to be in India to eat this way, but that's perhaps the ideal to strive to....
