Hello all

I have been wanting to take Liv52 as a liver supplement but am wary of the

methyl paraben put in it.Any thoughts on it?

Any recommendations on alternative good ayurvedic liver supplements are welcome

Thanks

Dear Sarita,

You might as well take any liver supplement in tablet dosage form. Even Liv 52

tablets may be taken. The liquids from any manufacturer have a lot of chemical

inactives which are not mentioned on the label(Even the tablets have them for

that matter). No modern dosage form is manufactured without adding the

excepients.

If you are very particular about the excepients, you may take Kumari asava

instead.

If you are looking for liver suppliment with other advantages typical to ladies

health, visit:

One should prefer herb in its natural lively form rather than a machine

processed formulation. When it is not possible, traditional formulation made in

small batches by a vaidya should be second choice. If that too is not available,

the formulation by a pharma (whose repute is verifiable through patients rather

than advertises or size of its operations) should be chosen.

Thank you all for your replies....what do you feel about bottled aloe vera juice

with just a little potassium sorbate as a preservative. Does it lose its

properties if it is bottled and refrigerated ? I do have aloe vera plants in my

garden but they are babies and I am not sure I want to harvest them now.

They ususally dont go bad. Just see if the taste has gone sour. Otherwise it is

fit to be used. The older, the better.
