Liver detox for children

I would give them a good purgatve or give it weekly once and then give them

light  nutritive foods. Add curds to the diet fruits and fresh veggies. There

are precautions to be taken after the purgatives are given like have just

khichadi etc.

Take good care of their nutrition. Eczema happens due to malnutrition. And it is

very important  to  get rid of the toxin build-up.

aloe vera  and Kumariasav are extensively written in posts in archives.

Both my children have dry skin and eczema and some skin discolorations. It

definitely points to a weak liver. Is there a systematic simple liver detox

program for children given the fact that being young they are most vulnerable to

toxins?

Harad is good and so is the good old castor oil. We were given these regularly

when we were young. and now all of us have forgotten about these things. My

children were into serious swimming. and they showed some promise. One day the

coach arranged a meeting with us and told us amidst other things, to give them

liquid paraffin once a week.

Triphala is very beneficial. Though it is not a purgative but i tell everyone

that it streamlines the stomach. Every one can use it. it is non habit forming.

It balances all three doshas. But this is not in lieu of the weekly purgative.

It can be otherwise used to create and maintain balance.

My mother used to say that harad is the mother of the motherless. We regularly

every day give harad to our new borns.

Thanks Mridula...Haritaki is also part of triphala but I guess it is more potent

taken alone...do you make a tea out of it? And what would the dosage be for 7

and 11 yr olds?

Everyone needs to monitor his dosage as it differs from person to person. You

will know how their movements are.

.. Easy or easily constipated. Start from 1/2 a tea spoon, monitor the movement

and then increase.

Yes, it is different when taken together. I am not a doctor but 40 years own

experiences tell me this.
