FATTY/GREASY FOOD CRAVINGS

I used to crave fatty, greasy foods (Ruffles potato chips, Kentucky fried

chicken, etc.) and just thought it was something I was stuck with, something

psychological.

Then I went to a naturopathic doctor that put me on Standard Process

Products including Linum B-6 (with flaxseed oil in it) and borage oil pills.

Well, I was faithful about taking them about 3 months then thought to myself

" gee, I haven't seen any change, I don't seem to feel better " so when they

ran out I was in no hurry to buy more --- until the cravings came back!! I

hadn't even noticed that somewhere during the 90 days I'd stopped craving

greasy foods but I sure noticed when the cravings came back!!

I went to buy more of the products, figuring that they were worth it if I

could stop craving the greasy food, and mentioned it to the naturopathic

doctor. He said my body was badly in need of essential fatty acids but that

your body can't tell you " Hey, I need some EFA's here. " Instead, your body

makes you crave fats in the hope that you will send some of the good fats in.

I thought I'd share this story in case anyone else finds themselves craving

fatty foods and thinking it's just a psychological thing. It might be

biological!
