Guest guest
Hello my dear friends! My dh has to have a colonoscopy done in mid June after one of the stool tests his doctor had him do came out with a trace of blood. Any suggestions for him to do now before the procedure that might make it less traumatic for him. He is 60 yrs. old and has always been very healthy all his life. Also, any suggestions for severe varicose veins in someone I know who needs advice? Thanks to everyone for their advice. Believe me, I take it to heart when you so generously offer it up. blessings, B.
Guest guest
Hello B, I have had a colonoscopy and found that it really was no big deal. I did feel pain at first but let out a groan and they increased the anaesthetic. Before the colonoscopy it is necessary to clean out the bowel. The mixture is given to drink at home. I found this did burn a bit on its way out but applying vaseline to the rectal area, after each trip to the toilet, helped a lot. (After the first glass, the rest went straight through me). Tell your friend not to worry, there were no after effects and many things can cause blood in the stools - even harmless polyps. Guest guest
Dear B, Sai Ram. About colonoscopy, you already got a fairly detailed reply. About varicose veins, Calcarea Fluor 6X tablets (Tissue Salt or Biochemic Salt - a cousin of homeopathy) taken 2 or 3 times a day for some weeks may improve. Even in your dh's case, I feel the blood in the stool could be due to Piles or medically called hemorrhoids. Does he have itching at the rectal region or occassional bleeding with stools? Does he strain for passing stool? Please keep in touch. Swamy holistic-health , " Bamboochik " <bamboochik@e...> wrote: > > Hello my dear friends!
