Guest guest
Kevin, I was simply reporting what Wendy said, so I assume she meant for glaucoma only. I hope so, because I eat them both and there's not much wrong with my eyesight. The RNIB booklet "Understanding Glaucoma" does not mention diet, but does say "diabetes is believed to increase the risk of developing this conditon." Chapter 2 of Natural Eye Care, an encyclopaedia" by Marc Grossman and Glen Swartwout" (Keats Publishing, Los Angeles) is called "There's Light at the End of the Tunnel: Treating Glaucoma Holistically". In it, they mention that as long ago as 1818 "researchers linked stress to glaucoma". In their "eye exercises" section in chapter 1 they mention sunning and palming amongst others, and recommend physical exercise including "rebounding" on a mini-trampoline. (Which Bates teachers use too!) I will not attempt to paraphrase the whole chapter, but it seems to be another book well worth having.
