Guest guest
Keep up the Calls for Health Insurance Reform _ Take Action!_ (http://capwiz.com/a-champ/issues/alert/?alertid=14833446 & queueid=4877558936) We need S6123, Real Insurance Reform Despite changes published with morning in an amended bill, S7000a still does not provide any assurances to New York families dealing with autism that they will be able to get the insurance coverage that we already pay for but are denied by our insurance companies. Senate Bill 6123 is still a far better bill that explicitly states what services health insurers will have to provide. The Senate is hearing us please keep up the phone calls to the Senate Insurance Committee. And click on the Take Action link to send an email to your Legislators to Support S6123 and A6888, the real autism insurance reform bills. Here are the main problems with S7000a * It removes the anti-discrimination language we had put into law in 2000 * It is very vague and may even allow insurance companies to stop providing occupational therapy, physical therapy and other healthcare. * It creates a four agency regulatory process that has no timelines, no appeals process, no participation of stakeholders * It offers nothing to the growing number of adults with autism Politely ask them to table S7000A and pass S6123. Please forward this message to family, friends, co-workers and post it on Face Book, My Space and other social networks.
