Kava Kava and liver damage

Can anyone refer me to info or articles that says that Kava Kava has

been causing some serious liver damage? The latest rumor is that the

FDA is considering pulling it off the market due to that, and it's a

real issue for me, as I had hepatitis when I was a teen, so must pay

attention to things that stress the liver.

I currently use it as an anti-anxiety herb, and often take it daily 1-2

times.

Hi Tamara,

I've been doing a bit of digging for you after hearing a couple of weeks ago

that Kava Kava is being pulled off the shelves in the UK. Try this from

last year's BMJ:

This article also cites some Medline articles but I haven't checked those

out.
