Nose bleeds....

Although dry air is usually the culprit when you get nose bleeds, especially

in winter.... be sure to watch your blood pressure if nose bleeds persist.

High blood pressure can cause nose bleeds also.

As strange as this may sound, saline solution will lubricate the

inside of your nose. I make mine with a pinch of sea salt to 1/4 cup of

boiled water, cool and add 1 drop of GSE.

The last time I purchased a bottle of Ocean saline, I dumped out the

contents and replacd it with the homemade saline. That brand is easy to

take the top off and refill.

I also use this mixture to stop sinus infections.

I just started using saline for the same purpose. What is GSE?

Paul,

GSE is grapefruit seed extract. I suggest you do a search on it as

there is a lot of information.

Some people advocate that you shouldn't use it on mucus membranes but

I also put one drop in the saline solution I make for my contacts.

Please make up your own mind thru research and do not just take my

word for it as what works for me may not work for you.

I also use GSE for washing veggies.

Thanks, Roxanne. In the past I've tried tea made from echinacea capsules up

the nose, at the recommendation of my chriopractor. Now I'm using colloidal

drops in the nostrils at the recommendation of my family doctor, who's savvy

to herbs & nutrition, BTW. The colloidal silver works well, but it burned

terribly until I started using saline spray also. That started me wondering

just how much of the sinus infection problem might've been related to plain

old dried-out mucous membranes.

I just checked a bottle of something called Nutri-Biotic, and it's main

ingredient is GSE. Ironically it fell off the shelf yesterday while I was

reaching for something else. Guess the household elves might've been trying

to tell me somethnig, huh? :)

Thanks again.
