Guest guest
My 2 cents is that perhaps the skin temp is elevated for a short period of time to draw the blood to the surface to accept the arnica. Guest guest
Yesssssssssssss, the point here is that there is principles and there is other principles. We can't close down other principles until we use them or put it to test in clinical practice. Yes a short duration 4 to 5 minutes and arnica as liniment will push arnica deeper into the realm of disturbance, meaning faster absorption. But I agree that ice has its value in swellings and to stop swelling. But we need to leave it open for the idea that there are experts and they have their years of putting some principles to the test and saw the benefits of procedures such as 4 to 5 minutes heat to make absorption faster eventhought there is presence of swelling or initial sprain. I would not advice anyone else do make this kinds of decision without this experiences. But in this case was my advice and my experience 14years But to not confuse the folks here, I would say continue your use of ice in case of strain/sprain.
