Guest guest
Hi Lona, I think there are definate alternatives to NSAID's (non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). Yes, NSAID's do cause gastric ulcers, among other side effects. They are a COX2 Inhibitor. Which means it inhibits prostaglandins that decrease inflammation. Unfortunately it also inhibits a prostaglandin that protects the stomach from getting ulcers. A major drawback of NSAID's. There is a natural COX2 Inhibitor called Zincosamine. The difference between Zincosamine and NSAID's is it has no side effects! It's also clinically studied on people with osteoarthritis, with proven results. I have access to this product, and information about it. You can't get it in the stores.
