Guest guest
I have used sinus irrigation, it really works. Sounds gross, but I found I appreciated the results so much I didn't mind. Dissolve 1/4 teaspoon sea salt in 1 cup water. You can add a pinch of baking soda also. Some people put the water in their hand and snort it. I use a ear bulb, tip my head back and put the water in each nostril. You can tell you're getting what you need when you are able to (faintly) taste the salt in the back of your mouth. It helps the sinus' drain, but I think it is even better for prevention, used twice daily. This other one I thought made no sense. Seemed like it would be less effective than above, but it is amazing. More effective, I think. Fill a sink with hot water. As hot as you can without buringin yourself. Dissolve in a handful of sea salt. Check the temp with your chin!!! Pinch your nose and put your face underwater to your hairline/ears. Hold a few seconds, breathe, repeat 5 times. Blow your nose in between. It's amazing how this works, I suppose by getting the circulation going so well. This is effective, and a real comfort: Have 2 bowls of water, one very hot, one very cold (float ice cubes in it). 2 washcloths. Alternate hot and cold waschlothes placed over your face (nose tip to forehead) for 20 minutes. Leave each one on until its temp begins to fade. The hot and cold is a pain to mess with, unless you have someone do it for you. I have also to used a sinus hot pad (electric) over a moist waschloth for the hot part. They say sinus problems are unshed tears. I do have a hard time crying; in fact, I went for about 15 years without crying at all. Also my throat often feels tight, and that feels like unshe tears. Any ideas on how to cry?

Guest guest
Movies. Very sad movies. Wow, 15 years. I'm lucky to go 15 hours without crying. LOL. I cry all the time over the littlest things. Just today, in fact, when I couldn't get ahold of my aunt to take the kids for a few hours LOL. I know, that sounds terrible, but mom needs a break once in awhile and my husband and I had made some plans. I just had another thought - would onions work? Or would that be different? ~Kara Kelso~http://www.momsmarketonline.com - Penny Hamilton Monday, December 30, 2002 2:31 PM RE: Re: Sinus help... 3 techniques Sal,Play sad music? That works for me.
