Are there any herbal remedies for bleeding ulcers?

I have a friend whose father has bleeding ulcers and he refuses modern medical treatments. We have tried to get him to go to the doctor and he refuses. He did not object, however, to trying an herbal treatment. I know of a few teas that might ease his problem, but I am not aware of anything that will treat it properly. Is there anything we can do?
