Hi Renee,

My mother in law was a cancer survivor as well. We lost her a few years

ago. She was a great believer in natural medicine and worked in polarity

when she was younger. I am happy to hear you survived it as well (cancer).

Thanks for your feedback as well. I am enjoying my new feeling of wellness.

This morning is the first I have woken up in no pain. I think maybe all

my old meds combined may have been causing an acidic effect in my muscles.

I slept great and feel wonderful.

I know this site is probably just for humans but if anyone can offer

suggestions my family would be so grateful. We have a 2 and a half year old

rotty. He is so much a part of our family and has recently shown signs of

hip dysplsia. An X ray yesterday should his left hip being very bad off and

his right starting to go. The vet has him on pain meds that are known to

have bad side effects and a hip replacement runs about ten thousand dollars.

We have some supplements to help build cartilage, and muscle as well as

prim rose oil and other things. He is 105 pounds, should I give him the

adult dose?

Hi Aymee,

I haven't been on the comp much during the summer

months: health problems with my daughter, my 10 hour a

week job has turned into a 10 hour a day job, etc. I

am on my way out the door right now. I do have some

info for your dog though. Most of it has come from

this site and the natural_healing site, if you look

back through the archives. I have saved much of it in

a folder and will dig it out for you when I get back.

So watch for it. Hopefully I can do it tonight, if

not, on Thursday as I have a 10 hour day tomorrow with

my advocacy job for the rights of people with mental

illnesses. Thursday I will be working from home all

day, so if I don't get to it tonight, I will have time

then.

Blessings, Renee

Hi Aymee,

I am still looking for the info I have on the hip dysplasia. I did keep it all because I'm concerned that it is common in the breed of my daughter's 3 year old Blue Heeler, as well as cancer and cataracts. I haven't found it yet, but I am still looking.

HI Aymee, I definitely think you need to keep your dog

away from the dog foods that have fillers like wheat

and corn in them. Have you ever seen a dog run into a

wheat field and start chomping? lol. I believe Iams or

Eukanuba are the best. Kelly

I agree with Kelly here too. Bob Hurt posted a response to a girl whose dog had cancer regarding the dog's diet and I did find that post. I will repost that for your info.

Thanks for this info, Marilyn. It is something I would like to look into for Riley (my daughter's blue heeler). I give my cat Dick Van Patton's Natural Balance cat food, based on a recommendation from my neighbor. She has at least one of every domestic animal there is, even a horse! She is a strict vegan, who won't have anything to do with leather or furs either. After reading the ingredients in Natural Balance though, I commented that I could feed it to my kids! I am definitely going to check out the Flintriver.com for Riley though. I always associate anything "Flint" with Flint, Michigan. I'm interested to see if that is where the company is based, because if it is, I could just drive there! Probably not though. That is how my luck goes!
