Guest guest
Hi Everyone, how is everybody? I have been having bowel issues and have changed my diet. I try not to eat wheat, refined sugar, and milk unless it is yogurt. I try to avoid anything that candida loves and have taken liquid acidophilus for two weeks. No one wants to have a colonoscopy but with my past history of Ulcerative Colitis I need one. I am trying not to get worked up about my symptoms. Since avoiding wheat, I have had no arthritis in my knees and my ocd is much better. One thing is, however, that I do not like the amount of meat I've been consuming. It is an easy protein to eat every three hours because it stabilizes my blood sugar, but I would love to be a vegetarian. This group, I'm proud to say, has 154 members now. Take care, Kel
Guest guest
Hi Kelly, I have all the same things as you, and now think I have also carpal tunnel syndrome as well. I wish there was a cure for these illnesses.I am very depressed myself. Cheers, Starwoman , " kellykebby " <kellykebby wrote: > > Hi Everyone, how is everybody? Guest guest
What about fish, Kel? Do you eat that? Or eggs? Guest guest
Hi Group, I read somewhere that it is much better to eat just meat and vegetables such as the Paleodiet (caveman) and eradicate carbohydrates altogether to heal our bowel, but that is not that easy either. I wish I could stop the diarrhea and arthritis. cheers Carmen > > What about fish, Kel? Do you eat that? Or eggs? Guest guest
Too much protein causes arthritis and bowel problems. There’s nothing wrong with carbs, as long as they’re not refined and you’re not allergic to them. Look at the Gerson Therapy www.gerson.org It heals even cancer (and all sorts of other ailments) and they recommend a LOT of carbs, very little protein. But, the carbs are wholesome, like potatoes and vegetables and fruits plus carrot/apple juice and green juices. Oatmeal is also allowed as is rye bread. Guest guest
Hi, I'm new to the group and wanted to contribute what I have been doing. I, too, had been having a problem with diarrhea until I started using Brenda Watson's fiber capsules, her pro-biotics, & fish oil. You may want to try that. I'm the kind of person that is either all good with eating or all bad. I think I'm still mostly all bad but my life is constantly at battle with this. There is this book called, Alkalize or die which is about keeping your body free from disease and it's a good book which I think I followed for two months and I felt so good but I can't seem to stick with it. Does anyone else have this problem. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one with this problem and maybe I will never change but it would be so nice to just be in control for more than two years. My mom has rheumatoid arthritis and I sure don't want to get that. But I am worried that if I don't stick with eating right and taking my supplements and alkalizing my body, I may end up like her. I too had carpal tunnel for 9 years but finally got it cured. That is a very uncomfortable thing to have. ~DeneOn 9/26/07, carmen spence <starwoman15 wrote: Hi Group,I read somewhere that it is much better to eat just meat andvegetables such as the Paleodiet (caveman) and eradicatecarbohydrates altogether to heal our bowel, but that is not that easyeither. Guest guest
Well I guess there are a few different diets where health is concerned. Guest guest
Sherri: It's good to see you posting, you lurker, you :-D Thank you for the birthday wishes, and bless you for your condolences; Mani was a lodestar in my life and we had eleven good years together in spite of many physical and financial setbacks. He was the kind of person that leaves an imprint on your life so deep you never forget him. I've been wrestling with the ourobouros of grief and trying to restructure my life in a way that I feel he'd respect... he was so tired and in so much pain towards the end, but still struggled to stay with me. In the end he passed while I was with him in ICU with the VA chaplain; I'm honored that he chose that moment to let go, with my holding one hand and with my other hand over his heart. It's been difficult in ways I can't even articulate, but I also know he is present with me and that does help. I'm interested in hearing more about the Matrix Energetics thing as well. As an aside, what you express is similar to what I've heard Mani, and other intuitive bodyworkers, say about what happens during a session. It is as if the hands develop their own mind, and there is a knowing that goes beyond texture and manual intervention. Blessings, Crow , " Sherri " <sherri831 wrote: > > Hi Carolyn---First Happy Birthday! > > I'm glad you took the reins to get this list going again. I've been a bodywork listserve member for years and used to occassionally post to that list though I now I've been a lurker for several years. Carolyn, I miss Mani's posts and am sorry for the loss of your wonderful partner. > > I'm Sherri and many years ago I found this group through the bodywork group. I'm interested in energy work but until recently, it's never been the main focus of my work. > > I've been a massage therapist for 12 years and mainly work with clients with chronic pain issues. Over the years my skills have refined and developed. Today, not only have my palpation skills increased and developed, now I often see and feel energetic releases even on more subtle levels. > > Last year I started training with Don McCann in Structural Energetic Therapy. I'm halfway done with the training and leave on Monday for Denver for the 4th of the 6 training sessions. It's amazing work and is exactly what I was looking for---it's structural work, it helps with chronic pain issues and it helps to open up and release emotional issues. > > I also am interested in Matrix Energetics. I think that there are more people out there who can feel pain and emotions in the body. Some times I feel that it is one thing to watch a witch doctor another to be one.
