Guest guest
Hello - I would like to share some of the things i have learned about healing through nutrition: One very important thing to consider is making sure you maintain proper PH in your body - this is by making sure you balance the amount of acid producing foods you introduce to your body - i found site that clarifies that a bit - you might also " google " alkalinity in the body -acidic body and disease etc.: http://www.chimachine4u.com/AA.html Another is to try to eat as " organic " as you are able to with what is available to you - you can buy canned products that are organic when the fresh produce is not available - if your town has a farmers market, they usually have produce that is organic - and now Safeway and other large chains have an organic section. It's more expensive but continually coming down in price with greater demand for it. So support the organic section so that our farmers will go back to keeping the nutrition in our produce. Supplements that are excellent for keeping the toxins away and the energy up are: Maca (from South America you can find on websites like www.rain-tree.com ) Grapeseed, and Pycengenol and green tea. Also, in order for your body to absorb good nutrion you need to keep your body cleansed on a regular basis so that the cells that need the nutrition can receive it - you can do simple cleanses like having fresh lemon juice in warm water first thing in the morning and making sure you do not have any caffiene/alcohol or sugar - or you can use products that speed up your bodies' natural ability to cleanse such as Isagenix. I love the Isagenix products - particularly the shakes (they have active Enzymes and are therefore very easy to digest.) - you can find those products at www.lizlochner.isagenix.com - it's like a Cosco -if you sign up for membership you get wholesale pricing. You can also ask me about it, i've been using the products for the past 6 months. Another good way to detox is by taking a couple 20 minute baths per week - fill the tub as high as you can - add a little vinegar to the water as well as 25 drops of Lemongrass oil, juniper oil, grapefruit oil, and rosemarie oil. A great non meat source of protein that is easily digested for the person who asked about what they can have besides meat ...is Hemp - There is a company called Nutiva that makes a Hemp shake - i like the chocolate and Berry Pomegranite - i buy it at Wholefoods, but if you don't have a wholefoods you can check their website www.nutiva.com Also a great meal to have on a regular basis is homemade chicken vegetable soup - use organic chicken broth, brown organic chicken breasts in olive oil and set aside -again use olive oil and brown onions, garlic and celery add the broth and any other veggies you want like carrots and potatoes (all organic please)- after the veggies cook add the chicken to finish cooking it and then before serving you might add cilantro and lemon just before serving. Very healthy and very satisfying. I have for lunch and or dinner a lot. those are a few suggestion i have that have been helping me achieve good health. The key thing with all nutrition is to keep things balanced. If you suffer from a specific ailment find out what foods you absolutely must avoid - like for candida NO SUGAR and make sure you are maintaining proper alkalinity -best achieved by eating lots of fresh fruits (especially bananas for potassium which increases alkalinity) vegetables (of course brocilli is the best) and limiting your dairy and if possible eliminating red meat or at least limiting. I hope my suggestions are helpful. Lizzie
