Guest guest
I have bipolar, deep depression and chronic fatigue and fibro. and don't sleep. I take paxil and adivan which doesn't seem to help. I just bought L-Tyrosine and Taurine because I saw it in a Book in a health food store. Anyone know the extend of what this will do. Wake me up or put me to sleep? pauline
Guest guest
Pauline, L-Tyrosine is stimulating; it is good for depression, but take it in the morning or it will keep you awake. 5-HTP is also good for depression (as long as you don’t have lupus or another autoimmune disease) and makes one sleep. A good book to get which talks about all this is Gabriel Cousens’ “Depression Free for Life”; it’s all about healing depression naturally with amino acids and other natural solutions. Guest guest
Hi Pauline: I normally try to help myself with vitamins and herbs. Recently my pain increased so that I could hardly stand it. Also my fatigue. I happened to read an aritcle on Fibromyalgia ( I have never thought I had Fibro, I always thought I had Lupus) and in it they mentioned that a new drug, CYMBALTA was VERY succesful for those two issues. After 3 days of Cymbalta, my pain went down 50%. After two weeks my energy has more than tripled. I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am about this. I am 65 and have lived (if you can call it live) with pain for 15-20 years. Of course it may not work for everyone, but everyone I've talked to loves it. I had NO side effects at all!!! Guest guest
I don’t want to say that drugs are always bad, but I am very partial to natural healing because I believe it is best to address the cause of illness rather than mask symptoms. Also, drugs fix one thing and always hurt another. In fact, Cymbalta is contraindicated for those with bipolar illness. Guest guest
Just to clarify, Cymbalta is NOT a supplement; it is a pharmaceutical drug.
