Guest guest
Hi JoJo, Thanks. I'm water fasting, but if I'm out with people in a resturant or somthing, I have tea. I'm still learning to wean off some things like sugar in the tea. I figure it is such a moderate amount, hopefully it won't hurt the detox effect. I am overweight and have a long journey ahead to get the weight off. It is seems so much easier to change your life when you cleanse out the toxins, both mentally and physically. Guest guest
Ali ~ I know what you mean about being out in a restaurant - THAT is tricky, when fasting, to say the least. When I am not fasting, and go to a restaurant, it is not quite so bad, because at least there are SOME things that I will allow myself to eat; so I am not just sitting there watching everyone else eat - that is difficult, at best. I am overweight also, and have many more pounds to lose - BUT I have lost 32 of them since the first of the year, so THIS keeps me inspired. (along with these groups!) I have a fasting group for women that I TRY to journal in, and there also I keep track of my weight loss and fasting in the Database Section of the group; it comes in real handy. You sound like you are doing just great - keep up the good work. Know that I am pulling for you in spirit! JoJoladyinhya <ladyinhya wrote: Hi JoJo,Thanks. Any negative effects of sugar on the metabolism are greatly increased during a fast. Past experience concluded that having sugar during a fast made me feel crappy really fast. In fact, one good benefit of fasting is to give the over-worked pancreas a well-earned rest. Have you tried using honey instead? Even Arnold Ehrett drank water with honey and lemon juice during his fasts. Billy
