Guest guest
On Wednesday I began a 36 hour fast. This is a little different than I expected because the last couple times I fasted for 36 hours I got sick during the latter part, with vomiting and some dizziness. But this time it was pretty much limited to a dull headache and a bitter taste in my throat. I don't know if I had less toxins to get rid of (like caffeine), or because the fasting, like dieting, packs less punch every successive time, developing a resistance to detoxification (I HOPE not). I started the fast at 10 Wednesday morning and broke it at 10 Thursday night. That encompassed most of my first workday and all of my second. It was hard because I was the one sent to pick up cookies to celebrate a birthday. I'm surprized she trusted me after seeing many times how I eat. I opened the window of my truck on the way back thinking that it would keep me from smelling them and eating them all before I got back with them. While people were enjoying the cookies, I took my share of them and saved them for after fasting. Is it my imagination, or were people around me constantly talking about food over these last two days at work? Billy

I've had fasting days where I've felt wonderful. Your body knows exactly what to do. Great detoxing doesnt take place in 36 hours because the colon is not even empty til about the 3rd day. Longer a fast is usually the easier it gets as its the gear changing thats the hardest so to speak not the sustaining of a fasting state. Everyone does talk about food. Next to sex which isn't talked about as much in public its most peoples most popular topic. Mike
