Guest guest
Kefir, I join Jo Jo in asking you for more details. Please explain what herbs you "mixed" and in what proportions. There are commercial cleanses available, i.e. from Vitamin World, Nature's Secret, and others. They are professionally formulated, and relatively inexpensive. Why did you not choose those for your cleanse? Were you following someone's protocol? If so, can you please the details and/or supply a reference? How did you happen to choose the time period of 6 days? What were you hoping to accomplish by doing the cleanse? What were your results? Guest guest
Kefir, Thanks for responding. Until now, I'd never come across Dr Richard Schulze. Your info sent me on a search for more info. Schulze is quite a guy!! I ordered one of his books from Amazon. I'd like to discuss more with you on making up your own formulation instead of ordering from Schulze. I just finished 12 days on the Burroughs Master Cleanser, preceded by two days of water only fasting. Have you done the Master Cleanser? If so, how would you compare the results versus the Schulze protocol? My background in cleansing and fasting is as follows. My first exposure was on a whim, without the benefit of any prior research. I bought the Nature's Secret "Ultimate Cleanse" from a health food store, after hearing an infomercial on the radio. I had no prior expectations at that time. As it turned out, the cleanse had an affect on my recently diagnosed hypertension. It was a real case of serendipity, because based on what my doctor told me, I had nothing to do but continue on BP meds the rest of my life. My BP dropped shortly after starting the cleanse. This enabled me to get off one of the three BP meds the doc had me on. Moreover, it showed me I'd gotten bad advice about having to stay on the BP meds the rest of my life. I started reading books on how to reverse hypertension naturally. I bought every supplement recommended by the books. My BP started moving lower, as I literally consumed supplements by the handful. It now appeared I might be able to eliminate all the BP meds. My next discovery was the Rice Diet. This was a diet used at Duke University starting back in the late 1930's, that was used to treat high BP when there were no BP meds. By accident, I found a headed by a doc who specialized in hypertension. At Duke he'd interned under Dr Walter Kempner, the inventor of the Rice Diet. With Dr Grim's supervision through the , I got off the other two BP meds. That was in December, 2004. I haven't been on BP meds since that time. The next thing I realized was that I'd really only substituted one type of pill for another to treat my hypertension. That's when I started reading about fasting and the various illnesses it was used to treat, simply by allowing the body to heal itself. I saw this as hopefully a way to eliminate all the supplements I was taking. A year later, I did a 15 day water only fast. Before starting the fast, I eliminated all the supplements I was taking. By the end of the fast, my BP was down to an outstanding 115/65...without medication or supplements. I still don't take the supplements, but after breaking the fast, my BP started creeping up. I'm still below 140/90 BP, which is the threshold for having to resume taking meds. This led me to start thinking about cleansing. I felt the water only fasting was too dangerous to do unsupervised. I saw the cleansing as possibly being a detoxing prep to be done prior to doing another extended water only fast. Following the 15 day fast, I fasted one day per week, even though I knew it wouldn't do much more than just give my body a rest from having to expend energy to digest food. When I did the Burroughs Master Cleanser, I had a long list of expectations of it, such as getting my BP down to optimum levels of something like 110/60, also reversing my prostate cancer, which is still active following both surgery and radiation, eliminating my arthritis and tendinitis pains, etc. The cleanse didn't really help much on my goals, but it was still a very satisfying experience. I could see from my stools that the cleanser was working and removing old fecal matter from my colon and intestines. This was accompanied by a strong feeling of well being, by just knowing that I was really detoxing my body. I didn't get that feeling from my fast, because there were no bowel movements during the fast. Your post about the Schulze cleansing protocol came at a perfect time for me, as I was pondering my strategy on what to do next. I do know that some of the supplements I'd been taking must've been helping, because while I was taking them my BP was at optimum levels of 120/80. But I also knew a lot of the supplements were probably not doing any good. My diet has been mostly vegetarian, mostly raw for over a year...but with occasional deviations back into animal products, and some junk food. From the information you've provided, I believe doing the Schulze colon cleanse will be one of my top priorities. I look forward to more information exchanges with you, and hopefully more participation by others in this group. Shake vigorously and take it down quickly.do it on an empty stomach between meals...5 times a day for 6 days...if you eat solid food it is not as effective as going on a raw vegetable juice diet..pref organicNote..be careful because this formula swells inside your colon..don't overdo it otherwise your colon will get clogged up..it happened to me on day 6 so i had to do some work to flush it out..must drink 8 glasses of water minimum..don't eat anything for 1 hour after taking the formula...this formula is an intestinal vacuum cleaner..good luck , Frank Berveiler <frankshtn wrote:>> Kefir,> > I join Jo Jo in asking you for more details.> > Please explain what herbs you "mixed" and in what proportions. Guest guest
I take suplements, but I dont recommend that you take a handfull if suplements whether natural or med. The ones I take are a very simple mineral/vit base. Not more then 3-4 a day max...preferably less. The diet is much more important. Good quality organic fruits will provide most of the vit you need and organic veg will provide the minerals..think of vegtables as primarly Bio Mineral Converters and Fruit as Bio Vitamin Converters. anyway, here is a story i heard first hand... A guy was taking suplements, and he was feeling great and getting better and younger by the day. Then he decided to increase his suplements and take every imaginable supment for everything he could think off....well to cut the story short...he ended up in hospital... , Frank Berveiler <frankshtn wrote: > > Kefir, > > Thanks for responding. > > Until now, I'd never come across Dr Richard Schulze. Guest guest
Kefir and All Others interested in the Dr Schulze cleanse, I'm thinking (and hoping) the version of the Schulze cleanse you use, can be combined with the Burroughs Master Cleanser, to create an "enhanced" Schulze cleanse and juice fast (lemon juice in lieu of vegetable juice). The Master Cleanser calls for drinking 6-12 ten oz glasses of leamonade per day containing the following ingredients freshly made in each glass: 2 tbsp lemon juice (approx 1/2 lemon), manually squeezed from fresh organic lemons, 2 tbsp Grade B organic maple syrup, and AT LEAST 1/10th tsp cayenne pepper (up to as much as can be tolerated) mixed in 10 oz purified water. I'm thinking this could simply be combined with the apple pectin, psyllium seed husks, bentonite clay (food grade), ginger root, and activated Charcoal (food grade). You mentioned you think the Schulze cleanse works best when combinded with a juice fast rather than solid food. It seems to me the Master Cleanser would qualify as a juice fast. The rest of the Master Cleanser protocol calls for a daily salt water flush consisting of 2 tsp of uniodized sea salt dissolved in ONE QUART of warm purified water and quickly drunk in its entirety first thing in the morning on an empty stomach (to flush the GI tract of any "debris" loosened by the previous day's lemonade , but not evacuated by the previous day's BM's). Furthermore, if a large number of BM's aren't ocurring, drinking a cup of herbal laxative tea (Smooth Move or Get Regular are recommended brand names), at bed time, in addition to the SWF. From what you've said about the effectiveness of the Schulze cleanse, I think both the SWF and the HLT might be able to be eliminated. I'm hoping the lemonade will qualify as a "juice fast" because I don't know anything about juice fasting, and don't have a juicer...YET! I estimated the calorie count of a single glass of lemonade to be about 110 calories (with vitamins and enzymes coming from the lemon juice and minerals coming from the maple syrup), and the macro nutrients being 98% carbs, 1% fat, and 1% protein. I'd appreciate all comments about this idea. Frankkefir_king <kefir_king wrot Hi FrankMy formula is very similar to the one Dr Schulze and other hebalists who uses it..he is a master herbalist.
