Need info on extended water fast, to cure anal fissure

Hi everyone. I hope to get advice from some experienced water

fasters.

I need to do a 20 day water fast to stop all bowel movements so that

the tear in my anal canal can heal. I have had a severe anal fissure

for almost 2 years. I got it from several months of undiagnosed

Giardia

which produced diarrhea. I rescue animals which is how I got Giardia.

So now I know how to get rid of Giardia naturally but I did it too

late. The diarrhea weakened the lining of the anoderm and now I have

this lovely fissure. The pain from the fissure pretty much ruins your

life. I hope having no bowel movements will fix it.

I tried to do the 20 day water fast recently and had electrolyte

problems. By day 3, my heart was beating irregular and my muscles

started cramping up. My hand muscles were actually so cramped I had a

hard time writing. I quickly drank fresh orange juice and the problem

corrected itself in minutes, so it must have been a potassium

deficiency. I think I drank too much water and washed out my

electrolytes. I have done 5 day water fasts before with no problem,

so

I don't know what happened this last time. I drank distilled water

with

a tsp. VitaMineral Green mixed in thinking that would help provide

some

alkalinity to the distilled water. The distilled water makes me too

acid and starts to burn my stomach if I do it without food for too

long.

tablets

in my water which will add electrolytes such as potassium, magnesium,

sodium, calcium.

not provide information on how to do a water fast that lasts longer

than 3 days. I'd like to do this without medical supervision.

So, when will bowel movements stop on an extended water fast? Because

think I need 10 days of no bowel movements at least for this to heal.

I also thought of doing the Master Cleanse but I'm afraid it will

keep

the bowel movements happening. If I can do the Master Cleanse w/o

getting bowel movements, that would obviosly be preferrable to a

water

fast.

It sounds like your body didn't originally agree with the water fast. I can understand not wanting to go with the medical supervision, but it might be a wise choice in your case. If nothing else just have the blood and urine test done to check for those things that Joel Fuhrman mentions. I believe he had a chapter geared for medical professionals? If you know exactly what you want you may be able to avoid trying to convince doctors that a fast is a good thing.

What I want to know is what was the natural way you finally found to cure Giardia???

Thanks for the info. I'm guessing that I will feel an electrolyte problem before it becomes too serious, plus the electrolyte water should protect me? I called the one fasting expert naturopath in my area and he seems to have disappeared. There is no one else to call unless I do it long distance it seems. Also I am afraid of needles for a blood test! Have you done the extended water fast? If so, when did bowel movements stop? I just spoke to some one who did a 14 day juice fast to cure his anal fissure and he says his bowel movements stopped on days 4-5. He says he thinks I should do vegetable juice only, no citrus.

Thanks for replying, that makes sense about the parasite cleanse. One thing to watch out for if doing a Master Cleanser is that if you aren't taking an herbal laxative and having bowel movements, you can reabsorb the stuff and end up getting pretty sick. Also I have known of skin breakouts that look like measles when the skin has to become the organ of elimination from lack of bowel activity. With a water fast your body processes the stuff fast enough that you don't necessarily need colonics, enemas, or laxatives. Not sure if with vegetable juice fasts if you will avoid the bm's like you want to, but I do know they would be better than a Master Cleanse because they don't dump toxins at such an extent.

If whatver you end up doing is without the bowel movements, you might look for a spa with a far infrared sauna. It would be good to sweat some of the crud out to help keep you feeling clear and happy. Good luck, please report back of your success!

Wow, thanks for that additional info Ryan. Based on your warning, I'm thinking about trying the Master Cleanse at half dose, a watered down version so that the no bowel movements will be not such a problem. Thanks for the sauna idea to detox through my skin, now that sounds interesting! I also thought about epsom salt baths.Also I found the parts in Fuhrman's book that I missed. He explains that if I had a potassium deficiency, I would have been suddenly very weak and I wasn't. I now think it may have been a calcium deficiency brought on by the distilled (acidic) water. This makes sense because low calcium levels cause muscles to cramp and irregular heartbeat and that's what I experienced. The electrolytes, minerals, vitamins in the master cleanse would prevent that

from happening by keeping me alkaline rather than acid.
