Guest guest
dear all, When I was a young teen staying with my Granmother, she would put the extra hen's eggs into Isinglas to keep them thru the 'non-laying season " . She would put fresh eggs into a gelatinous type liquid in large ceramic jars. These were placed on a cold concrete floor in an out house. They kept the eggs fresh for months. All you did was wash off the Isinglas and you had a perfectly fresh normal egg. I eat only fertile free range eggs that I get from my favourite health food store. As Y2K may cause disrupted deliveries, I would like to put a few dozen aside in Isinglas. Does anyone know where to get it?Best Penny Khaled
