Guest guest
Hi Rachalle, Thanks for the kind word. Never get cheap on your dosages. For an adult, you can use 2 dropperfuls 2 to 3 time a day and if a person is really sick you can start them off with a whole ounce and give them the 2 dropperfuls every hour. For children, you should use the 150 rule: Take a child's weight and put it over 150 and that gives you their dosage. IE. If a child weighs 50 pounds you put the 50 over 150 like 50/150 which breaks down to a 1/3 dosage. This method even works with babies. It also works for BIG people. A guy weighs 300 pounds = 300/150 = 2 times the regular dosage. The worst thing I've ever seen about taking to many herbs is that you throw up which in itself can be therapeutic. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Thanks for the additional input on this Maggie. It raises some good points regarding Lemon Egg and all natural remedies. I was downing a two ounce shot glass a day with no adverse effects for over two weeks, but then again, I have a big body and am very active (I start every day by running 3 to 4 miles). You're right about "a little going a long ways" though (true for most remedies), as now, I only do one 2 oz shot glass a week as a maintenance dosage. I also use only 5 medium sized eggs in a quart Mason jar (fills the jar about 2/3rds the way up), which is then filled to the top with the fresh squeezed organic lemon juice so my mixture may be a little weaker than Dr. Morter's. I disagree with anyone who tries to carve a "same dosage for everyone" in stone, and Morter is no exception in this case. The important thing I've found is to learn to listen to your body. It'll tell you if you're taking too much or too little of something. We are all different and no two people are going to have exactly the same dosage which creates the most ideal effect. My general rule of thumb for dosages, using most concoctions is the "150 Rule". A child who is only 50 pounds in weight should only take 1/3rd the recommended dosage of a remedy. IE. 50 over 150 breaks down as a fraction to 1/3rd. Similarly, a woman who weighs a 100 pounds would take a 2/3rds recommended dosage. This works for the heavy person as well. A 300 pound man would need to take 2 times the regular dosage to get the best effect from a remedy. 300/150 = 2. This is a general rule of thumb which works for approx 98% of the people I've helped. My wife Valorie who weighs just a little over 150 can take a full oz of Lemon Egg (my mixture) for over a month with no adverse effects. You do need to take into consideration a person's age and general overall condition. Obviously, you're not going to ask a 90 year old, 90 pound man with just a faint breath on the mirror to run a 4 minute mile or drink 8 oz of Lemon Egg a day. One needs to use one's head without being too timid to jump into the middle of things. I've never ever hurt anyone by having them take large dosages of herbs or natural remedies, Never!!! And I've been in this field over 5 years now and have personally helped hundreds. Never be timid with your dosages. Your body will tell you if you've taken too much, and you won't do any permanent damage. Ole Doc Christopher and ole Doc Thompson, when they were alive, used to give "over doses" of Lobelia to "Purge and Puke". They never lost a patient doing this, and between them, cured literally tens of thousands of people using this method. Conversely, I've seen many walk away from natural healing back to the saws, drugs and the knives of the MDs, simply because they didn't do enough of a natural healing program. Best regards, Ian MARGARET LINDLEY wrote: Ian, I recently read about lemon egg in Dr. Ted Morter's book "Your Health - Your Choice." This is what he says "Lemon egg mixture is an excellent, high-powered, SHORT- TERM calcium supplement. One-half teaspoonful each day will give you all of the additional calcium you need to begin to rebuild your calcium supply. Like any supplement, this one will give your body resource with which to work while more covalent calcium laden foods are being introduced into your diet. Green leafy vegetables such as kale, watercress, mustard greens and turnip greens are vegetable sources of calcium. The amount of lemon egg you take is important. Taking too much can induce synptoms you won't like. One-half teaspoonful is all of the lemon egg you need EACH DAY for thirty days. Taking more than one-half teaspoonful a day can lead to leg cramps, the same symptom that is associated with too little calcium."
