Guest guest
Hi Mary Ann, I always recommend people stay away from Ma Huang and Guarana as I personally tried them (Metabolift) and within a couple of days my wife and I were at each other's throats. I've heard of others who have experienced the same. You can lose weight more slowly through exercise and diet without the negative effects of the above two herbs. These herbs do have their place in herbology, but losing weight is not one of the places to use them. In small doses they can be used by a professional in conjunction with other herbs to help rebuild nerve cells. The above is only my opinion of course, and you should seek the advice of your own health care professional in your area. As a matter of fact, I would strongly recommend to you, to look up a naturopathic doctor in your area and get yourself and your family on a real health building program. It is difficult and usually useless to give " specific " advice for a person through this list as there is usually a lot more going on than what can be put into an e-mail. General advice through this list can be helpful; specific advice is something you should do with your health care professional. IE. A person could have Migraine headaches and an ache in the right shoulder and the cause could be a plugged up bowel. Sometimes it is necessary to really dig into a person's lifestyle on a personal one to one basis, to get to the bottom of their physical problems. It is your responsibility to educate yourself, and if I were you I'd never take the advice of anyone including me without a thorough research of that advice. Remember this though; the reason a person gets headaches is NEVER because he is suffering from an Aspirin deficiency. Hope this helps.
