Oh-Oh, LOL. Everyone has a name except the pig babies we sell and the

poultry. And the only time we kill chickens to eat is when there's too many

roosters.

Aren't fresh eggs the greatest thing? REALLY makes you wonder what they do to

the comercial variety to make them so pale and tasteless. Scary.

My uncle had a chicken farm in Texas. He had THOUSANDS of chickens,

and he candled all the eggs by hand the old-fashioned way! (He's

dead now.) As a young girl, he would show me the good eggs via the

"candle," and he would tell me what size they were. "This is large,

this is X-large, this is too small for market," etc. I crack

up when I open a dozen "large" or "X-large" eggs from the supermarket.

My uncle called these "too small for the market" in his days. Just

goes to show you how much we have been propagandized today to believe whatever

they wish us to believe.

Absolutely, there's no comparison between the commercial and the home grown.

Love,

Doc

PS. We will soon be getting a hundred new chicks and I absolutely refuse to name any one of them, though Valorie and Bryan may have a different idea ;o)
