A QUESTION ABOUT SUGARS & ALTERNATIVES TO COW'S MILK

Hi Paulissa,

I use rice bran syrup or pure maple syrup when baking in place of

refined sugar. I read somewhere once that they do not effect your

blood sugar the way refined sugars do. Seems to make a difference on

my kids although I'm not 100% sure this is true.

My whole family and me especially have problems with dairy and

mucous also. I use rice milk, goat milk, almond milk, dairyless ice

creams, in place of cows milk.

Hope this helps. Cathy

Paulissa...You can bake with honey or maple syrup. And for a milk

substitute, how about almond milk? Valerie can tell you how to make

it....Mary Ostrowski

Thanks Cathy,

This is what I needed b/c I wasn't sure if using rice/goat's milk created the

same mucous problem or not.
