Guest guest
Dear Steve, You are absolutely right in your views of the estrogen/progesterone cycle . by giving the body what it has stopped producing becasuse it is " re-adjusting " the Hormone makeup of the female body for it's next cycle is kinda weird. However, this has been the Medico's answer. by using Herbal means what you are doing is HELPING THE BODY to gothrough the change. Heavens - we get to and go through Puberty (and isn't THAT a tough time for many) - then we have babies (and I had three of them) - then we start to wind up our Reproductive cycle (THANK HEAVENS) and end up mature, knowledge able, sexy CRONES...(lascivious grin).... However, in my case (a Hysterectomy) it was rather sudden and extrmely uncomfortable. I used HERBS, DIET<,CLEANSES and EXERCISE after trying ERT. ERT just made me fat, moody and depressed. I became inactive and slobby. Dr. Schulze's actually was my intro into the whole new world of Herbs (although I was a Organic freak for years) and I made MY OWN preperations after watching his videos and reading SUSAN WEED'S BOOK - MENOPAUSE YEARS THE WISE WOMAN'S WAY. A woman can start Menopause at 3 0 or 65. It can go for one year or 10 - it depends on the woman. Dosing her heavily with progesterone or estrogen just covers up and hinders the change. She needs to emerge from her Chryslilis into the Butterfly she will become.......Love Penny (P.S...sorry this is a Females only thing - you guys just remain polinators.....giggle)
Guest guest
I'm just throwing out a sidebar, as I don't read minds well, either, but too much progesterone off sets the estrogen (and vice versa - is this all repetitive, or is it just nature is repetitive in everything in balance means " at ease " , not " dis-ease " ), and it also turns into estrogen, which in itself, is bone protestive, hence one of the " med'$ " trumpeting hoorahs about HRT! ...so in that aspect, too much progesterone helps and hurts (in the same way that HRT does)! In Health, Steve ----------------------------- >> If my recollection serves me, Dr. Lee claims that estrogen levels only take a small drop whereas progesterone drops much more and is the hormone that needs to be replaced. It is a good idea to have a saliva test for progesterone levels because one physician (Dr. Joseph Mercola) who prescribes progesterone cream for his patients has found some women with very high progesterone levels. HYH Denise >> I guess I am not understanding this. Does this mean that " too much " progesterone can cause osteo? Pearl Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. If you are pregnant, consult your physician before using any natural rem edy. 3. Estrogen, Testosterone, GH, IGF-1 & Insulin are the major bone builders. Cortisol & PTH are the main bone breakdown agents. Exercise can help, but not to a major extent if the bodies hormones are slowly destroying bone collagen matrix. Greg

Good bone strength is about much more than diet & exercise. By the way, exercise works to build bone strength by the exercise causing micro bone fractures, which trigger localized bone breakdown & rebuilding. However if the hormone balance favours more bone breakdown than bone growth then you may, overtime, have less bone density & strength. PS: This is not a female thing and guys also suffer bone density loss as we age, again due to loss of estrogens, testosterone, GH, IGF-1 and elevated cortisol and other stress hormones.
