Guest guest
Dear Greg, No - I have not tried a Vit C flush but I printed it out. You posted it whilst I was in the middle of the third week of a Cleanse. Did the two week Colon Cleanse and then the Kidney Cleanse. Will wait about a month until I do the Vit C. Flush as I like to give my body time to sort itself out..............Love Penny (also I need a chocolate break every now and then...grin)

Hi Jamie, The Ascorbate Flush Mix (1/2 teaspoon (2 grams) for a healthy individual, 1 teaspoon for a moderately healthy individual, and 2 teaspoons for a individual in ill-health) of Vitamin C ascorbate powder containing potassium, magnesium, calcium and zinc in 2 ounces of room temperature water or juice. 1) Allow effervescence to dissipate (about 2 minutes), then drink the mixture. 2) Repeat this procedure every 15 minutes until a watery diarrhea has occurred. 3) Write down the time(s) and dose(s) taken. 4) After achieving the watery diarrhea, add up the total amount of ascorbate taken. 5) The daily amount will be 75 percent of the total. Repeat this procedure every 2 weeks. 6) Eventually, less ascorbate will be needed to achieve the watery diarrhea. 7) When the dose no longer changes, the repeat schedule can be changed to once every 3 months. 8) If the maintenance dose causes diarrhea, change it to 75 percent of the dose that caused the diarrhea. ======================== Good Health & Long Life, Greg Watson, http://www.ozemail.com.au/~gowatson gowatson

Guest guest
You know what?? Somehow I missed exactly WHAT the purpose of the Vit C flush is in the first place????? Why on earth would a person want to flood their system with this?? Give me a good reason please, somebody? Seems to me there should be a good reason if this is a legitimate thing to do to a body, and if so, the reason should be posted along with the formula. Ian, do you understand what this is about? I understand high doseages of vit C in illness and before a surgery or any insult to the body. However I don't understand it for a healthy person, and till you have diarrhea???? references?????? Elaine Dear Greg, Before I post this to the files, can one use Ascorbic Acid in place of the Ascorbate salt form? And if not, why not? Guest guest
The " accused " may be more able to answer that, but according to the book Prescription for Nutritional Healing (p 539), Ascorbic Acid Flush : " Because vitamin C promotes the healing of wounds and protects the body from bacterial infection, allergens, and other pollutants, it is often beneficial to flush the body with ascorbic acid. This therapy can help treat chemical allergies and chemical poisoning, arsenic and radiation poisoning, influenza, and sprains, and it can help prevent other illnesses, including cancer and AIDS. " Sounds like a good enough reason to me! Also, the " point of diarrhea " is the fact of fine tuning that the point just below, is considered cell/tissue saturation, as C does not stay in your system unless saturated and maintained by a consistent replenishing!
