Guest guest
Dear Greg, Thanks for the tip - I think I alrady have the list filed that you sent before onalkaline/Acid foods. Intersting about Vitamin K. So those elderly people who are on Blood Thinners due to heart irregularities and have been told not to eat green veges containing Vitamin K are already setting themselves up for Osteoporosis?.............Love Penny

Guest guest
....and FYI vitamin K is not a coagulant (as a anticoagulant antagonist), but operates more along the lines of agregation, hence, unless you are taking boatloads of vitamin E, Ginkgo, garlic, etc., you should have no worrys; and if eaten in balance (ie. no dramatic increase or decrease in " K " food intake), you should have no worrys if you should have to go on blood thinners; make your Dr. adjust the dosage to your food intake, not tell you to stop eating all vitamin K foods! There are too many benefits of eating these foods! Hi Penny, Double edge sword there. Get rid of the fats & high GI carbs to the lipids in order, then hit the veggies. Epa helps to reduce clotting so taken together with Vit K (which can increase clotting) may be a good combo. Atherosclerosis is also a buildup of calcium and the Kit K will help to leach it out of the blood vessels and put it back into the bones.
