Guest guest
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrhg! You may be my adopted daughter (even at a year or two older ;o), but you need to read the list policies = no advertising or URLs. Ya beat 'em and beat 'em (joke) and they still act like kids (LOL ). I never said a word about behaving yourself (lost cause) and 'fun' is one of our major goals. Welcome to the list sweetie. Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington Heather the "doula" is here. I have been so busy "doula-arizing" that I have had no time to introduct myself. I have been going to births since 1973 I am a retired direct-entry midwife here in California. Assisted in over 650 home births. Currently I teach childbirth classes, and assist in hospitals as a consultant to the couple to give them someone to discuss their choices and to help them achieve the sort of birth experience they want.So by now Ihave been to around 850-900 births. I do have a website....(am I allowed to mention that?) it has information on it regarding a Doula www.easybirth.com . Doc Ian is my adopted papa and even though I might be a year or two older than he is...what the difference. He also said I had to behave myself on this chat group. No fun. So my main specialty is childbirth education and labor management in variety of settings. Heather Moll
Guest guest
This is in ADDITION to the papa or friend- they are usually to emotionally involved to be a good advocate when really needed! I cant remember the origin of the namee...I once knew... michelle - Ann Sunday, October 28, 2001 9:25 AM Re: Gardening Question? Fall Maintenance Thanks. That sounds great, I thought that was probably what it was. Where does the word come from? Over here we, rather boringly call them birthing partners! sometimes it's the father of the baby, sometimes a friend. Ann - Scotland A birth attendent to serve the mama and be her advocate...rub her back take care of HER- the midwife has so many other things to think of- IE the baby- It is great to have both- or have a midwife with at least one proficient helper- michelleMy Pictures of Aromatic Plants and Exotic Places In Turkeyhttp://members.home.net/chrisziggy1/triptoturkey.html
