Guest guest
Doc Christopher used to have his patients drink six cups of Yarrow tea when doing a cold sheet treatment and he's done thousands of them. I've done several of them on patients using the same technique including the six cups of Yarrow tea and there were absolutely no problems, only wins. I've used Yarrow in several of my internal formulae for years, again with only wins and no problems. I've checked every pharmacoepia that I own and have found no containdications whatsoever. This is what Doc Christopher has to say about it: "When administered hot and copiously (a lot of it), will raise the heat of the body, equalize the circulation, and produce perspiration. It opens the pores freely by relaxing the skin, and it purifies the blood of toxins... Yarrow will never weaken a patient, because of its tonic action." Personally, I've never had a problem with it. Never! One of the greatest tonics for the cold and flu. It can break a cold or flu within 12 hours. My daughters drink it in a strong tea when they have a cold or the flu it relives the symptoms and they don't really suffer from the sickness. They have never had any ill side effects. It is also good for the uterus to help it go back after child birth I have used it for that, it will also increase your milk flow if taken internally. Both Yarrow and Tansy are best used only as external remedies. Taking either as a tea could be dangerous without good guidance. - bigbird3969 herbal remedies 8/13/01 4:17:22 PM Re:Re: [herbal remedies] Yarrow Yeah, it kinda threw me when you said little clusters, as yarrow looks more like miniature hydrangea flowers. I wonder if Tansy would work on the earlier mite problem?? Probably not safe enough. In Health, Steve ----------------------------- Thank you Steve. That's possible. I'm going to look at it more closely. I found another one of my books and it may be Tansy. If it turns out to be Tansy, I think I'll just get rid of it because I doubt that I'll ever use Tansy. Guest guest
This is very fascinating. Perhaps I'm wrong about Yarrow. Or, perhaps the plants that grow up here in the Front Range of Colorado and Wyoming are unusually strong. I will continue to be cautious, but will keep these experiences in mind. Guest guest
That's what I like, a real committment (LOL). Best bet Michael is to just try some for yourself starting on a gradient scale of quantity and work up from there to the larger doses.
