Guest guest
Hi all- sorry I have been quiet, we cannot seem to get enough of our share of the computer woes... I am wondering- I have heard that you cannot do any cleansing at all while bf? And I have also heard that there is minimal cleansing you can do while bf? Anyone know for sure? Let me know if you need my background or why I am looking for this info! Sindea sindea Driving Washington nuts since 1991...

In retrospect, I think it would have been ok, and actually beneficial for me, to do very gentle cleansing, then building alternatively, and watching to see if it affected the kids as I went. They were 3 and 5 when they stopped bf so I am sure I could have done cleansing when they were that old and before- but perhaps not when they were in their first year. It depends on the kid too- some are more sensitive than others. You can cleanse all sorts of ways. You can do a simple bowel cleanse with some psyllium, as far as I know that wouldnt effect the breastmilk, or prunes. Or drink extra lots of water. Chamomile tea is gently healing for the liver. Or drink lots of vegetable juices for a while as well as eating a normal but very healthy diet. Probably depends on how toxic you are too. I would just be careful of getting 'depleted' which cleansing can do. Breastfeeding is more a time of building. Maybe Doc has an opinion on it, I would be interested to know. love peela ===== May the long time sun shine upon you, all love suround you, and the pure light within you guide your way on. Guest guest
Hi Penny.. It's sooo strange to hear someone else talk of the tingling sensation. I get it also, and my youngest is 10!!! Ever since we stopped when she was 3 & 1/2 years old, I've had it. I call it empty breast syndrome. It was a truly beautiful time in our lives, and I wouldn't trade it for anything... how many people nowadays can say they remember being at the mother's breast?? My Breanne can!! She claims that someday all her children will be bf... and it's just so nice to hear it. Of course she says that's all AFTER she gets her vet practice going...
