Rebirthing

Thank you, Diana, for your wonderful and informative

post! I'm appreciative of your recommendation for the

Vissipana book; it sounds like this technique is

something that would be suited to me. I actually have

my first rebirthing session scheduled for Thursday,

and I'm enjoying the synchronicity of this discussion

coming at this time. I had no idea that the method

could be... well, traumatic! ...and all of the

wonderful input from everyone who participated in this

discussion has motivated me to talk more with the

practitioner before I go through with the session. I

had a traumatic and abusive childhood as we all had

on some level, and I would much prefer gentler methods

such as the one that you described. I'm so grateful

for the unbiased information you all contributed, and

I'm SO glad that this came now, rather than after I

had unknowingly gone to the session and (possibly) had

a whole world to rebuild.

No worries! <g> Now that you are an informed consumer - i am certain that

everything will be fine. Half of the trauma in certain situations is simply

the shock value. That has been removed for you; you should be fine. I am a

very big believer in Full Disclosure for consumers. Strangely enough ( -

with Full Disclosure the side-effects of any medical, etc procedure -

actually decrease. Fore-warned is fore-armed. And as they say - Knowledge is

Power.
