Guest guest
Hi Sandy and Everyone, I was originally taught that we do not do or send Reiki unless it is asked for. I now feel differently about that. I think we have all come across people who cannot ask for help for themselves...for whatever reason, they are not worthy, their problem is not as serious as other's, etc. Yet they will ask for help for someone else. I will still send healing energies - but my intention is that if the person does not want the energy, either consciously, or if on some level they need their difficulty, the energy will go where it is needed or go back to that big reservoir or to the earth, etc. My belief is that if a person does not want healing or healing energy, they will not accept it. We cannot force it on them. Their free will is always intact. So this is why I send it because just maybe they do want/need it even though they cannot/do not ask. I simply send it, keeping myself detached, for them to use if and how they choose. My own personal ethics are that healing must be asked for except in emergency situations. Despite the fact that we may feel that someone needs healing and that perhaps we can provide it, my opinion is that to do so without their express permission is to violate their free will. -- Janie Walk softly, Live gently ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Usui Reiki and Seichem Classes In person - New Jersey
