For one thing, we have the luxury to really think about what we've just learned in small chunks. I find that it's easier for me to process small bits of information than larger ones. Also, when we take our small steps, we are less likely to pass over some of the lessons waiting for us than if we were to take bigger leaps. You Go, Girl!!! Please let me know how much better tonight is than the night before. Isn't it great that you're making these positive changes for yourself? > I know I've been only pig headed Well, you're human. All humans are allowed to be pig headed occasionally, right? How can you use your pig headed-ness to your advantage? I'll bet that you can rechannel that strong will (that sounds a little nicer than pig headed) to help you to become quickly accustomed to the breathing machine. *Then*, you can use your stronger and healthier mind and body (wait until you see how great you feel when you are well rested!!!) to help yourself overcome your other challenges. It will be quite an adventure. I wonder how much progress you will make in one week? In one month?? By the New Year??? >. Please all of you keep me in your > prayers I could use them. Well, Ellie; I've only been on this list for a couple of days, but I sense that there are a great many good people here who have already been sending you positive energy, light and prayer. It's a way of showing love and friendship to the universe--you can never get too much, nor can you ever give enough. >I have 6 children and 12 grandchildren to get well for. Well, that's a very good reason. You need to get well for *yourself* so that you and your family can enjoy each other's company for a very long time to come. What would you like to have happen to your body in the next few months? How can you help yourself to reach that goal? What easy, pleasant and positive changes can you make to your lifestyle to make that goal a reality? Don't go nuts, now! Let's be realistic. I'd like to be beautiful, tall, skinny and blonde; but that just ain't gonna happen. I'll just have to settle for being the best " me " that I can be. How can you be the best " you " that you can be? Please write tomorrow and tell the list how well you're doing. I think that a lot of people out here care very much about you, are anxious to offer support, and will be happy to follow your progress as you continue this journey. Sweet dreams!
