If the person to whom we are > sending the energy does not want the healing, love or whatever we are > sending, then we ask that the energy be guided to any person who needs and > wants this help. I send all energy with this stipulation. > Beautifully put. I respectfully disagree with those who feel that it is inappropriate to send energy until asked to do so. It is *always* appropriate to give love and care. If it is not wanted, it is not wasted. The effort itself is a blessing back to the sender...and I think that the energy will eventually rebound to positively effect the person to whom it was sent--at the appropriate time. > I send conditional Reiki to those I know who > seem to need it, to those who say " I really need help with this problem, > please pray for me. The payment comes from the Universe and I > am well compensated. I hope I am not breaking any rules. > Semantics, bah!!! I'm not sure whether it matters if it is called Reiki, prayer, light, energy, or chocolate pudding! I think that the love, mercy and positive intent arrive no matter how they are packaged. > My personal philosophy is that since God is Love and we are created by God, > our purpose in this life is to manifest God's love to each other. I've just begun to practice distance healing and realize my potential for healing and other sensitivities that I have denied for a very long time. I'm greatful that I have found such a positive and nurturing place to ask questions and learn from others. Like Rose, I also thank you all. > Florie
Guest guest
Hi Jaylink - About 15 years ago, the brother of a good friend of mine was in the hospital dying of AIDS. She arranged a healing circle with about 10 or 15 people out in the Oregon hills where she lived, which I was part of. We did a sort of pagan healing, basically holding hands in a circle, Ommming to build up energy until we could feel the power, then releasing it out through upraised arms, mentally directing it toward him. The next day she flew to Florida to visit him. He told her he had felt the energy flow, that it had made him stronger and more hopeful. A month later he was out of the hospital. A year later, unfortunately, it came back and this time he passed away. But I never forgot that experience. I believe, truly, that distance healing works if the person wants to receive it. For a while, I was teaching magickal classes to about eight students. During this time the husband of one of our students had an accident with a skillsaw and severed his thumb. He was rushed to the hospital and the thumb reattached, however, the doctors were extremely skeptical that it would heal or even if it did if he would ever have use of it again. We as a group offered to do healing work for him. Now I was working with only two others in the group who had any experience in healing distance or otherwise at the time but they were capable and willing to follow my instructions. The energy we raised and sent that night made a tremendous difference. His doctors had been preparing him to possibly have to have the thumb amputated because they were unhappy with the way it was healing, however at his next visit, the day after we did the work, they were amazed at the turn around. Today his thumb is completely healed and totally usable as if the accident never happened. His only reminder is a faint scar where they reattached the thumb.
