Moving Energy Upwards

I have been having email problems, and have unfortunately lost the post I

intended to respond to regarding moving root chakra energy up into the

heart. I am going to try my best to respond to the gist of it from memory.

Because of the nature of the way I write (stream of consciousness is a

polite way of putting it) I seldom edit this material, so I can only assume

that what needs to be said will be.

 

The process of moving energy upwards through the system can be accomplished

in several ways. Ideally, you would not just want root energy moved up to

the heart, but all the way through the crown, clearing the channel. (I am

assuming that this is an issue related to love, sex, or tantra, that you are

concerned about, since your primary question was how to get root energy to

the heart.)

 

Tantra is one method of raising root energy; it is a form of yoga, or breath

and posture, that stimulates and supports the movement of energy through the

channel from root to crown. Sex is less the destination than the journey in

tantra. It is more about assistive kundalini, and the ideal is for both

partners to experience this moving and clearing of the energy channel

concurrently, which may or may not include physical orgasm.

 

Other useful methods of moving energy up through the system include

breathwork, full octave music, meditation and visualization, and self

balancing techniques such as Brugh Joy's Chakra Connection.

 

Remember that the feeling of love occurs on different levels, depending on

the stage of development a person is at and how open their energy centers

are. Love is experienced differently at each chakra level... for the root,

love is safety and trust (the converse, insecurity); for the sacrum it is

sexual attraction (the converse, sexual addiction); for the solar plexus it

is possession (the converse, ownership/control); for the heart it becomes

unconditionality, and issues of safety, attraction and possession are

secondary. This is ideally how a parent loves a child, how a person loves

self, and how a couple learns to love each other. When these issues are

distorted or stunted, the expression of love is often stuck at the point of

the block, creating problems with commitment, manipulation and inability to

focus feelings into appropriate actions. IMO, this can be a source of

physical and sexual deviation and abuse from people who claim to love their

victims/perpetrators.

 

The experience of love further changes to be more esoteric and less physical

as it passes through the throat, brow and crown, as a person comes to an

awareness of how to properly communicate back into the system the vision and

epiphany of contact with divine love (the love which passes all

understanding).

 

So as the energy moves up from the root through the crown, it also enters

the crown and moves through the root. Perhaps instead of moving root energy

to the heart, the best effort would be to move heart energy to the root ;-)
