Guest guest
Well, folks, I have to say that I haven't felt as good as I did when I got up this morning in a very long time. The CPAP machine sleep study went very well, I only rolled over twice, didn't snore at all, and tolerated the machine (actually it was a noisy industrial BiPAP but who is quibbling) and the headgear about as well as anyone could for a first night. Once I get my own I may be unstoppable <LOL> I had so much energy this morning my husband asked if I could wear it all day to keep my mouth from running <LMAO> So, I survived the night, and if I am not mistaken, Patricia, you survived the day. So we have both escaped the manifestation of our fears and have lived to tell the tale ;-) I was glad to see so much positive and helpful support for you, and hope that you can release the causation of your " glitch day " so that it can be a " positive landmark day " instead in the future for you. Too bad you don't do TAT... but I may scrounge up the procedure steps for you all along with the hand position (there is only one, folks, and it is simple to do), scan them up and put it in the shared files for folks who need to access it. Take good care, everyone, and have a good weekend... Crow " Look for Rainbows in the Darkness " ----Original Message Follows---- " P.M.Gilmore, C.M.Ht. I have gotten very positive feedback about me going (in less than a month) I have followed through with setting up all the inoculations and my arms are killing me. I don't feel I can make plane reservations until I get the final go ahead and I still don't have it. The president of the non-profit has had some family emergencies and as evey one is a volunteer going I think that she must be behind in her confirms. But it is driving me crazy because it is very important to me and I am on hold without the phone call of the email of YES YOU ARE IN. I guess this is kind of a *group healing* thing but not. I ask for your postive thoughts and energy so that I know soon and can act on the travel arrangements. I feel, as others do, that this is a life changing trip for me and moving me to the next chapter. But I am rather impatient. That just me. Thanks people. Guest guest
Caroline, I'm so glad that everything went well for you with the test. Lots of luck when you get the machine. Ellie
Guest guest
Congratulations! Really great news about the sleep study. The machine has made such a difference in Rick's life, and his health in general; and, I'm sure that you will have the same positive results. Don't worry about the noise--when you get your own " home model " , it will probably just make a sound somewhat like rushing wind (which, I suppose is what it *is*). I find that it has become like a white noise generator--a very pleasant " sleep switch " for me. It's become like a hypnotic trigger. As soon as the machine goes on, I'm out like a light...and the " white noise " *almost* covers up the sound of *my* snoring! I'm sure that your husband will find that it is not at all intrusive--once he gets accustomed to sleeping next to someone wearing a mask. Hey--you can make it fun--we do.
