Energy healing our pets

Sandy (I think) mentioned something a few days ago having to do with using Reiki

on animals.

 

I've been thinking about this a great deal. I have two very old dogs with

multiple health problems and know that they sometimes seem comforted by gentle

stroking and just snuggling.

 

Would anyone have some specific information on giving healing energy to animals?

My " grumpy old men " thank you in advance.

Florie,

 

We all have the ability to do Reiki but taking the training increases our

ability to channel the energy. So simply place your hands upon your dogs

with love, respect and the intention of allow the energy of the Universe to

flow through you to them for their use in their healing. Let us know about

the results. Once you get a taste of the joy of giving in this manner, you

may find that you want to follow up with further training.

Florie you have such great questions. Dogs and other animals (not cats so

much, but I think they have their own Reiki Channel ;-> ) love Reiki and

healing energy. You will know it can be a part

of all first degree classes, but if you have not had any Reiki classes you

may not have gotten the information. There are also books which feature this

knid of treatment. Basically, you can envision loving universal energy

passing from the universe through your heart , out your hands to your pets.

Hold your hands abvove the pets 3-6 inches as too much energy from us can be

painful and they squirm. See the energy going from you hands into you pets.

This can begin in the shoulders, chest and heart area. Trust that the energy

has a knowing and will find the right cells, organs etc to utilize this

energy. Visualize the disease process returning to healthy pinkish white

tissue and all bodyparts functioning well and youthfully. Continue as long

as the pets will tolerate it. They will tell you when they are done(full) by

getting up or wiggling away. After they and you get comfortable you can just

quietly lay your hand on the shoulder, stroke them to balance the energy.

Good luck it works wonders. PS you cannont give too much or hurt them in any

way so do not be afraid. Blessings Cecelia

Hi Florie,

 

There is a wonderful book by Diane Stein called " Natural Healing for Dogs

and Cats. " She has whole chapters on using herbs with them, homeopathy,

acupressure (with diagrams showing how to locate all the major pressure

points on your dog), pet-massage suggestions and flower essences that have

worked well with dogs/cats having emotional or behavioural problems.

 

I think the publisher is Crossing Press, it is a large paperback.

 

My copy is dog-eared, I have used it so many times.
