Guest guest
Hi Nancy, Welcome to the group :^) This really is a wonderful group of caring, sharing spirits. I'm sure Caroline can give you more ideas regarding Healing Touch as I'm not an HT practitioner. But there are some similar techniques between Healing Touch and Reiki. The Reiki Ryoho techniques, Kenyoku-ho - dry bathing or brushing off, and the aura cleansing - brushing down the energy field, are similar to the Unruffling done in HT. The Reiki technique for directing the energy is similar to the HT techniques of ultrasound and laser. Also Reiki has Uchite Chiryo-ho (patting with hands or palms), Nadete Chiryo-ho (stroking with hands), and Oshite Chiryo-ho (patting with fingertips) that may or may not be found in Healing Touch. Caroline can clarify this for me. A number of the earlier Reiki techniques have their origins in QiGong, and from what I have read about Healing Touch, a few of the techniques seem to be similar to QiGong techniques as well. I think one can do the HT techniques while allowing the Reiki energy to flow, and the two work well together. rowe fam wrote: > I would love to get some feedback from you on Healing > Touch. Guest guest
Hi Jane! Thanks for passing along the HT/Reiki info. I think I've basically been doing what you mentioned and that is to do the Healing Touch methods while letting the Reiki energy flow. I recently moved and haven't found a local Reiki circle, so haven't been practicing it as much. My thoughts are that energy is energy and as long as the " intent " is there, the work will be for everyone's highest good. I just continue to marvel at all the possibilities that are out there for energy work! Thanks again!
