Guest guest
We are scheduled to have a First Degree Reiki class this weekend. I've read various articles about preparation for this--fasting, ridding the body of toxins, etc., and wonder if the listmembers have any suggestions. I stopped taking a regular medication (Claritin) prescribed for allergies a few days ago and have cut back my caffeine intake. Rick has also cut out caffeine. Interesting, but we are both experiencing physical problems. I am having a bout of sinusitis and my husband is having some minor digestive problems. I've read that problems of this nature are sometimes experienced *after* the attunement as the body becomes accustomed to the energy flow and detoxifies itself, but am not aware of anything like this happening before the attunement. Just a coincidence, or is the universe getting us ready for things ahead of time? Also, if we are not feeling well, will we still get all of the benefits of the training and attunement, or would it be best to reschedule to lessons? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Florie and Rick >> Hello Cecelia here...I have some suggestions for the prep and that is to go easy on your self. You will learn and experience what you are meant to experience without many changes before the lesson. The best suggestion for prep is to get as much rest as possible. NO need to make great changes before the attunement. Eat healthy, get rest, take soaking baths. You are ready NOW and do not need to do anything to get ready. The universe had called you and you are responding. That is enough. Now after the attunement changes could start to happen. The level one can put one in a physical detox place and you MAY (or MAY NOT) experience any form of release. My motto is " Better out than in " In other words if your body is expelling anything, do not take anything to stop the release. Some times this is tears, sweat, gas, Nasal drainage, and diarrhea. All can be viewed as the body releasing toxins, not as illnes or symptoms to be curtailed. Put faith in the boy's natural ability to get rid of the unnecessary by products. As the attunement will heighten the vibrational frequency of your cells you will be able to cleanse your self of unwanted and unnecessary waste products. Drink lots of bottled water and take it as easy and be as nurturing as possible during this time. Keep me posted on both your experiences. Blessings Cecelia Be love and laugh!! Guest guest
Hi Florie and Rick, Good advice from Cecelia. The only thing I have done, and tell my students to do, is to have a quiet night the night before and to be gentle with yourself. I would only say to change diet habits, etc. if that is something you normally do as part of your spiritual practice already. Many times I have seen students start the " cleansing process " *prior* to the actual class and attunement. They end up at the class with sniffles, runny nose, etc. One student actually had to put off attendance because diarrhea was a little too much to handle. I have come to believe that the process - whatever the process may be for each individual - actually begins when one decides to become a Reiki practitioner (or when Reiki chooses you) or when one makes the commitment to take a class. Enjoy your attunements and the class, a new life begins! " Richard M.
