Guest guest
As a reiki master that has taught over 50 Reiki II classes allow me to offer up my insights or opinion. Yours in Reiki Carol - bluemoon <bluemoon I would like the rest of the group's opinion as to what happened to me during my last reiki 2 class.(snip) Our master had asked us to practice distant healing using photos. As soon as I put my hands on the position of the third eye of my proxy " Louise " became quite agitated looked at me and told me to stop. If this happened in my class I would have clarified with Louise what was happening for her .... in my calming reassurance I would include a few essential ingredients remind her that the the feelings 'she' was having were her own and not that of the recipient and maybe they were her reaction to immense energy flow and most importantly that reiki is an infinitely wise energy and it would only ever work to the persons highest willing good I would then ask her if she was willing for the class to proceed sending distant reiki to her son, as maybe verbalising her approval for the class to send reiki would allow her own energy flow to be 'easier' > I did and proceeded to treat the rest of the body. Towards the end, without thinking, I once again put my hands on my proxy's base chakra and third eye and " Louise " went berserk yelling at everyone to stop and accusing me of putting my will into it. She was incredibly angry and I guess in quite a deal of discomfort, and wouldn't listen to anything I had to say. In my 7 years teaching reiki classes i have never had anyone go 'berserk' in a Reiki II class . I have had many people have many strong physical and emotional responses the the reiki energy .... these responses have usually happened within the mental safety of a belief in reiki ( since it was reiki II not reiki I )and/ or a trust that reiki is a healing energy. > I asked my newly introduced guide what could I do about it and the reply was " nothing " . I think your guide gave great advice because there was nothing you needed to do ...The reiki was doing the energy work. Louise was learning about her reaction to energy and I imagine your reiki master was learning a bit more teaching reiki. and for you to do ..... nothing ) > I am at a loss to understand what happened as I definitely set my intention to " Louise's " son not " Louise " , and I have always been under the impression (perhaps mistakenly) that you couldn't send reiki to someone who didn't want it. One of my favourite sayings about energy work is " Trust , Trust , Trust .........and if all else fails ....... Trust. " I believe that Intent is everything in healing and i am sure that if sending to the recipient (photo of her son ) was the intention then the reiki symbols are intelligent enough to 'get the adress right!' LOL If i was the master in this class i would be speaking privately to Louise to clarify her attachment to the outcome of this healing sent to her son ...... and emphasising all the points made above and i would also see if she has an unusually strong connection to her son ... and would look at assisting her clearing these unneccesary (unhealthy) links/ties > My master also seemed a bit perplexed as to what had happened. Reiki is a great teacher and i am sure that clarity and wisdom comes from the use of reiki Learning come from the strangest situations and i am sure your reiki master would see this as an opportunity to learn Ninox I am happy if you want to forward my point of view to your master ...but i am sure she would be speaking to her own reiki master community for understanding on this.
