My chiropractor, Howard (we call him Howard the Doc), is losing his

eyesight, for no apparent reason. The mechanism of illness has to do with

hardening of the arteries supplying the retina and this has been thoroughly

investigated.

He has approached me for help and I am doing the following:

1) Reiki as much as possible (approx 3x per week), with slight improvement.

I feel energetic " holes " in his eye sockets and have had some difficulty

visualizing healthy eyes and projecting that into his Crown Chakra.

2) We have talked about him becoming Level I Reiki and he has decided to do

that next week.

3) He is viewing Carolyn Myss' tape set " The Energetics of Healing " .

4) I am offering to do a personal change session with him, to clear out past

life issues, limiting beliefs, modelling (His brothers were diagnosed with

the same problem shortly after he was...hmmm...), etc. He is interested in

hypnosis, which I also do, but I think he is evaluating me on the Reiki tx,

before he decides on that route.

5) I believe that Howard is a healer, not just a Chiropractor, and I have

talked to him about this being a learning that is a stepping stone to a

greater ability.

I would appreciate any thoughts you have on what else or how else I can

assist this fine, Doctor to achieve healing/learning.

Dear Jim,

I totally agree with your combined emphasis on external support and

assistance and self healing. I believe we serve one another most when using

this combination. It sounds like your friend is interested and willing to

work on self healing but I would not overlook emphasizing emphatically. I

also recommend Chi Lel Qi Gong for self healing. Their website is

<http://www.chilel.com/>. This form of Qi Gong is very gentle and yet very

comprehensive and safe. The self healing can be dramatic over time.

From Love,

Jim,

Maybe using herbs might help. I have heard that eyebright is used as

an eyewash for eye " problems'. Herbs also contain an energetic

pattern along with a biological fuctioning. Find a good Herbalist or

Naturpath.

Good luck,

Wow, sounds like you are on the right track with Howard. I'd like to offer you

another technique to use, also,

which might be helpful. If you have not read my posts on the chakras, read the

one on the brow chakra and its

relationship with the root chakra.

The root chakra governs " structural " aspects of the body and grounding. There

is a technique called " The Spiral

Meditation " from Dr. Brugh Joy's book " Joy's Way " which I use occasionally to

open up a session. You place one or

both hands on each center and move in a clockwise fashion to " open " the spiral,

holding each position for an equal

amount of time, usually around a minute; it has a definite freeing and expanding

effect... then you do whatever

interventions you desire, and finish by " tamping down " or grounding the spiral

by reversing your opening movements

(you can move more briskly). Here is the procedure:

1. Heart

2. Spleen (Left upper abdomen)

3. Solar Plexus

4. High Heart (Upper chest)

5. Sacral

6. Throat

7. Root

8. Brow

9. Knees (Both)

10. Crown

11. Ankles (Both)

12. Transpersonal Point (Above the head)

You will notice that the spleen and high heart (thymus) have been included by

Dr. Joy; they are both important

points for the immune system, which was an issue for him as he had a cancer

diagnosis.

You will also note that at one point (8-9) the root is linked to the brow, which

will help emphasize the

connection. This procedure is also useful for people who have had confusion

following structural injuries (such as

elderly people after a hip fracture).

This technique can also be taught to him as a " self care " technique following

his Level I Attunement (it is not a

Reiki technique, but can definitely take advantage of the energy in balancing

the centers).

I feel a resonance for the technique as a Reiki person because I already use

Chokurei in my work, so a spiral is

" natural " somehow both with individual chakras and in this application.

Hope this helps. If you have trouble finding the chakra posts in the shared

files, you can read them off my

website: http://www.geocities.com/nrgbalance/rainbow.html

Thanks for mentioning Chi Lel, Mani does it and it is very useful; he was able

to take his class from Luke Chan in

Boston several years ago and recommends it as a practice as well.
