Hello Everyone!

 

Got the Sedona Method tapes last week and haven't had time to complete them

yet, but they are changing my ways of handling feelings already.

 

The method is simple. When you have an emotional upset, (or you can recall

an old upset to work on) you accept the feeling. Allow it to be in your

conscious mind. Accept the feelings, just for now. Then you ask yourself 3

questions (answers must be " yes " or " no " to the first 2).

 

1. Could I let this go?

2. Would I let this go?

3. When?

 

Had just started the 4th of the 10 tapes when I had an upset. Started

working on releasing the feelings that evening, but it didn't work right

away, so I realized that I could not let the feelings go and worked it

through with " no " for that question the next morning. Almost immediately a

string of old feelings from similar situations popped up. It was as if my

computer mind was saying " You have these feelings stored in this file, and

in this file... " I continued releasing on the latest upset and realized

where my feelings of inadequacy were coming from and how I had dealt with

them in the past. I do realize now that I should have released on each

situation as it came up, but I'm sometimes too stubborn to see what's in

front of my nose. After lunch the day I started to realize that I couldn't

release the feelings I tried to call up the feelings for more work. They

were gone! I couldn't believe it. Most of the work was done with other

people around (who had no idea what was in my mind), driving in my car, and

at odd moments while I was working. I had the complete privacy of my own

thoughts while I dealt with the feelings. (I did share with a friend and my

husband) I can do it anytime, anywhere. I'm only half way through and I am

much more aware of all my feelings.

Have just started on the biggies in my mental junk closet so I really need

to finish the tape series and see if there are more techniques to help pry

the garbage loose. Will share anything more I learn.
