Guest guest
Most e-mail programs have a default option of copying the message you are replying to into the text of your reply message. It is possible to shut this off, with this series of commands: In the e-mail program window: 1) drop down the " Tools " menu 2) click on " Options " 3) select the " Send " tab 4) toggle the command for " include message in reply " (check mark on: text is copied - check mark missing: text is not copied) The problem with this is that the reader may not have enough information to be able to place your reply into context. So, you may want to include in your reply selected segments of the message you are replying to, so that the reader gets the point of your reply. One easy way to cut and paste chunks of text from one message to another is to: 1) click on the first letter of the chunk of text you want to copy over 2) while holding down the " shift " key.. 3) click on the last letter of the chunk of text 4) check that the highlighted text is the piece you want 5) click the right button on your mouse, a menu will appear 6) select " copy " 7) open the text window of the outgoing reply message and choose where you want the text chunk to be pasted in 8) place the mouse cursor on this spot and right click 9) select " paste " from the menu you're done!
