Hi, For anyone who has ongoing pain (anywhere) I recommend EMDR. The

pain represents energy blockages, usually connected to something from

the past (trauma, emotional or physical) that your brain is having

difficulty in processing. I have had 4 sessions that have lifted a

lot of chronic pain in my body.

Also, Whenever I have something bothering me emotionally that won't

go away EMDR can help me process it so I move on.

A session usually consists of talking a bit about my pain, what is

bothering me while my doctor makes a few notes. Then my doctor starts

with where the pain is, has me concentrate on it while I follow

her fingers back and forth with my eyes. My Doctor does this in 30

second blocks. Emotions, more pain releasing, and sometimes memories

relating to the pain come up. I usually feel a lot lighter after a

session.

I've heard that this gives wonderful results, and saw a quick feature about

it on television recently.

Can anyone provide a bit more information about the technique and how it

works?

Thanks,

Florie

Dear Maureen: What is EMDR? I'm not familiar with the initials. Love,

Jeannie
