RE: Choice versus Sacrifice

During my daily constitutional this morning, I started to ask myself what

is the difference between a choice and a sacrifice? Is it simply the

emotional attachment we may have to a choice we have to make that makes it a

sacrifice?

I've been looking at patterns in my life, and looking most closely at the

ones I'm having the hardest trouble breaking, or at least replacing with

something more healthy, and I was wondering if the foundation of this

question was preventing me from following through on some of the choices

that I make.

Let's take exercise for instance... In order to be exercising, I have to

get up off my duff and get out and walk. It seems like it would be a simple

choice, after all, it's only half an hour to an hour a day a few days a

week, but some part of me must see it as a sacrifice, since it's not an easy

thing to accomplish everyday. It seems I have to make this choice on a day

to day basis rather than simply considering it a done deal and just doing

it.

Does anyone else ever think of this kind of thing? How would you define

the differences to yourself?

Maggie have you ever touched a resonance with me. I suffer from severe

Vertigo (side effect of my IPCD) but do I use it to stop myself from having

to go walks. Yes, I do. I need to get going. Thanks. Jeannie.
