Guest guest
Hi Sandra, Len here. May I explain how I handle panic attacks and anxiety in my clients without going into a session with them. It is not a permanent fix, but can be used any time you need it. Usually it works well, but as you know, it depends on how earnestly one applies it. It has to do with protective energy shields. Some people pooh pooh shields, but it is one of the most useful items in my daily life. To explain it here would take some time. I have already published articles " protective energy shields " part 1 and part 2 on themestream.com. My link below should get you there. In the step by step directions provided, I recommend using the 'color' Pastel Peach between you and the shield you build. My input. Guest guest
Dear Sandra: I am not a professional in any thing than at one time Corporate accounting. I have an illness (IEM) and it has a wonderful side effect called - Pure terror/panic/ anxiety attacks (all day and night long.) Since I can be on Ativan, or Xanax or now Buspar and they have no effect on me, I asked the doctors if Reiki might help. That is one of the reasons I've joined this list. To explore all my options (with the blessings of my 14 doctors too mind you.) Welcome and talk to us. You are not alone in this. For ten years now since my heart stopped at age 32 I have suffered horrendous panic attacks until I became a hermit and then the attacks began in my home. No place was safe for me. I was phobic of driving and talking to people, even friends because of the bizarre symptoms I would get during these unpredictable attacks. I am now finally (almost) weaned from Xanax and Ativan which I took prescribed by my psychiatrist. (I also tried other drugs over the years) Now I believe the drugs did more harm than good although I was so desparate for help. I have done well with a therapist that uses cognitive Gestalt therapy (primarily) and she has taught me that my anxiety was not the enemy to be silienced but rather the messenger of very important news from my subconscious or the manifestation of deep seated conflicts triggered by unknown or known stimuli in my environment. Relaxation techniques cannot cure this in my opinion. I journal and do my own dream analysis with her. I belong to a women's writing group which focuses on writing as a way of healing (Book by Louise DeSalvo). And I have an energy healing session with a Barbara Brennan healer every other week. It has been a long and painful journey for me but now it is not the enemy but an access for greater knowledge about myself. I still have anxiety and mini attacks but I am happier and more productive. I have found that my energy level did not improve without the drugs so I have begun an anti yeast regiment. From my understanding systemic candidiasis can cause anxiety, depression and panic--we'll see! Good luck to you. Sharon
Guest guest
Hi Sandra >I've been suferring from what >they call panic attacks, and general state of anxiety which is very >tiring and influences very aspect of my life The big obvious one is that panic attacks can be a reaction to stress, and you're a journalist... If that's the case then I'd recommend something that slows everything down for half an hour, gives your body a chance to catch up with your brain. There are a huge number of options; you could take up meditation or yoga, have a massage, erm... and I suddenly find I can't think of options to relax, help people. The key for you will be to find what works for you. The key for me may be to follow my own advice... hth Ged
