Tuesday, November 14, 2000 9:23 PM Folks, I just received word that nasal decongestants and appetite suppressants containing PPA (phenylpropanolomine) can cause hemorrhagic stroke. Women, especially, are at risk. The research was requested by the FDA and conducted by Yale University. I received my report from PlanetRx.com, an online pharmacy I sometimes order from. Please check your cabinets. These are over-the-counter drugs that are easily purchased. There are alternatives available.
