Hi Healing friend and colleagues,

I have been asked a question and I am interested in how you would answer

this.

A student age 46 has had life long problems with very heavy bleeding with

one day of her Menstrual cycle, nearly every cycle. She has tried a variety

of traditional and alternative therapies but with no lasting success.

Her Dr. has recommended a hysterectomy. She has finally decided to go ahead

with his recommendation.

She wonders what the energetic effect of the surgery and the removal of her

uterus will be.

How would you respond to her?

Thank you.

From Love,

If I can expand on Barbara's question, I've often wondered how menopause

effects psychic abilities in those women whose sensitivities seem to peak in

correlation with their cycles...

In response to Barbara's question, my way of thinking is in line with Florie.

I feel that I am at my most intuitive and creative when in my cycle. When

putting together my business, I had my best and most productive thoughts during

the cycle. I seem to be more in touch, more fluid.

Linda--

I feel exactly the same way. My sensitivities are much more pronounced, I

experience a great deal more synchronicities, and am generally more " in

tune " during my period.

I'm wondering how menopause (either surgical, as in the case of Barbara's

friend, or natural, as in the case of us 50 year old crones-in-waiting)

affects that part of our life.

Post-menopausal list members--any comments, please?

I am passed menopause and I don't have any losses, if, anything, I would

say I am probably more intuitive, creative and productive thinking than

before. Besides, it is great to not have to deal with the whole thing. I

don't even think about this anymore!!!!!!!!!!

Got to thinking after I wrote this. Guess one has time to be more creative,

etc. because one is not troubled with thinking about so many

things---freedom!!!!

Well, to answer Florie's question I have gone through menopause naturally,

but I started with hot flashes at age 38. I had my tubes cut and tied at age

31 so you go through the changes early then. The hot flashes were terrible.

My period would come very heavy and then stop. By the time I was 44 I was

finished with my period. I never got it anymore but still had hot flashes for

a few more years. So from start to finish it took 14 years. When it was over

I felt so much better. I was still a warm loving woman. I didn't worry

because I couldn't get pregnant anymore. It made me more lovable. Real

lovable as I remember. Ladies I'm 64 and I still feel lovable. Well, I'm not

sure if I answered the question to want you wanted to hear but if I didn't

please ask me again only this time spell it out, I said I was more lovable

but only denser now.

Love to you all

HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY

Hi,

In response to Barbara's question about surgical removal of the

uterus.

What I know is that I have a large uterine fibroid and my symptoms

WERE bleeding and bulk. When my MD recommended hysterectomy I talked

to my acupressurist, unfortunately I don't remember our discussion

too well (because for me and my situation, I had no plans to actually

have the hysterectomy), but what I do remember is the acupressurist,

a good practioner who also does cranial sacral work, left me with the

impression that even without my uterus I would still have my energy

fields of my uterus. I know at the time he even gave me an example,

unfortunately I don't remember the explanation.

Instead of a hysterectomy I had a uterine artery embolization (UAE)

which was basically an angiogram that used dissolving gelfoam to

block the blood source to the fibroid and kill it, sounds creepy but

it was actually fairly low-key, especially compared to my options and

this was at a point where I was going to go for an acute western

medical approach.

Of course, for me, the main thing after addressing the deliberating

symptoms and getting to a place of comfort was to address the other

issues involved.

So, how did you answer the question?

Hi Elizabeth,

I answered this way ... " I feel that if the decision has been made to go

ahead with the surgery, the focus should be put on preparing and restoring

the energy field, pre & post surgery. I will pose the question to my

colleagues. "

Pam,

Thank you for responding. I feel much better now knowing that there is no loss

after menopause. Many people place such a taboo on women after 40 and beyond.

And, I have also heard other women say what a relief -- such freedom!. Thank

you again.

Florie: I had a hysterectomy in 96 and it has not affected my psychic

abilities at all. In fact they seem to be opening up as the years pass.
